The wind was calm and the sun was at its peak. It was the perfect time to go out for an expedition, and Jakan was raring to go. He jogged in one spot waiting for the announcement that he was dreaming for since he was a pup. Not long into the excitement, he was snapped out of his thoughts as a powerful voice yowled behind him. “Jakan, Marama and Kryos. It was the second week of the festival, the sky had fallen victim to darkness as night approached. A pearl dove with a short tail and a saddle bag on her back, hopped around the festival, getting excited about all of the bright lights and happy faces around her. The festival was a great place to hand out eggs to people! Esme hopped around, looking for some people to give her eggs to, when she found some ice sculptures being made by what seemed like another kukuri. Creatures of all kinds stood around the dove as she started taking requests from them. The dove hopped over and sat next to a critter, who was much smaller than her. The small critter looked up and blinked at her in confusion. “Hello!” Esme said, probably a little too loud, disturbing some of the people. Near the fringes of the festival, where the growing number of lit lanterns didn’t quite reach, a young prairie pup attempts to practice her newfound magic in the growing dark of night. Waving her paws in the air, the tip of her orange tongue between her teeth in concentration, Gliese tries ever so hard to recreate the sparks she’d unintentionally been able to produce earlier. Her little face was near scowling with concentration, her enormously oversized ears pricked up high and pushed forward. She looked rather ridiculous, trying to pose like a boxer while waving her paws up and down like an old cartoon magician. The harder she focused on her flame coloured claws, the more ridiculous her attempts became. It was the same every year. You would be chosen to fight in the arena, sometimes it was your choice, sometimes you were just chosen randomly from the audience because someone backed out of the fight. Usually, Ozuno was choosing to be in the fight, he never wanted to show his weaknesses. But ever since that fight... He was forced to back down from being in the fights and seeing his scarred injuries, the humans in charge of the coliseum never approached him, due to him looking weak. His mate, however, felt as though she hadn't gotten the revenge for him that he deserved. Despite losing one of her eyes and managing to chomp down on the tail of the dove that ripped off his arm. She kept going back, hoping that she would be able to fight that blood-thirsty dove again. The gates creaked ominously as the pair of fighters awaited their turn against the goddess. Tsunami's eye flicked from her assigned partner to the gates a few times as the minutes ticked on. There had been so many entries that the organizers had paired up those who were willing to have an unknown partner to go against the Goddess. The pre fight nerves had already set in for the marbled dove as she tried to flick through strategies and ideas in her mind to focus herself. She wasn't where her fight partner fell on the skill range, but she hoped they'd be able figure something out. The echo of cheers from above told her that the match on the other side of the gate was nearing its end. If they were going to think of something, they'd have to do it soon. The coliseum was alive with excitement, the air thick with tension. The old walls echoing with the chatter of kukuri and handlers alike. A lone crimson dove hadn't felt so alive in too long, prowling amongst the fringes as she made her way to the ancient corridors that led down into the arena below. Descending beneath the stone archways that seemed to whisper of grand battles won and lost over the centuries that the coliseum had stood. Talutah breathed deep the scents of combat. Of blood, fury and fear. Of pain, adrenalin and victory. Of the growing stench of stagnant swamp water, the sweet yet pungent and vibrant odor of thick, thriving jungle. It was a long day for Cinra, teaching a couple of kukuri about the kind of meat you should look for was... A lot more difficult than she thought. Especially when one of them was a herbivore. Neither of the kukuri were pups, they were the about the same age as herself, but they weren't brought up in the wild like she was... Cinra would have given just about anything to have gone home and eat the meat by herself with no unwanted guests or distractions. Unfortunately though, she had to deal with those two before she got that luxury... She looked at the two kukuri before her, who were looking at the two pieces of meat she laid out quizzically. "So... I miss doing designs so here I am offering design services for both Euro and art!
